Maybe they read this board - so they laid in wait for him, and now he's buried in a shallow New Jersey grave (the online free lotto business IS getting tough).

The best way to deal with freelotto.com email's (and all other spam) is to forward them to the FTC's address set up for spam. uce@ftc.gov is the place to send it. You can read about it here : http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2002/02/eileenspam1.htm You can also file a consumer complaint with the form that is shown here: https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01 If everybody that is reading this (I say that due to it's high google rating) would complain to the FTC, something would be done. Free lotto needs to be shut down and force to serve the rest of their lives in flames. :) So get busy sending SPAM to the FTC and file a complaint about Freelotto.com

Is there an "edit" function I'm missing? Add a space after the link I gave, that comma will screw things up. |

Damn, my very first serious mistake. SORRY JAYBAT, as a moderator I tried to remove the comma in the url in your post, but I pressed the wrong button (I was in a hurry) and deleted your post accidently. Can you write your post again and forgive me ?ErikAlbert P.S. : you are right about the missing "Edit" button. Cindy has also no edit button. I guess none of the members have one, except the moderators.

Well, you weren't missing much. From memory I said forget about the FTC, all they do is collect spam so they can make charts and graphs and say "Spam has increased 85% this year, so you need to increase our budget by 170% to fight it". But they don't, they just build their little government empires. Try reporting freelotto to www.spamcop.net - they add the emailers to their spammer list and *some* (I repeat *some*) backbones and servers use that to shut spammers off. Not a major accomplishment, no, but it serves more purpose than reporting things to a government that has no current interest in stopping spam. Scams are a different matter. Real scams (not petty rip-offs like this freelotto jewelry thing) would be better reported to the FBI or somebody like that. I forget who but there's some part of the govt that has an interest in the Nigerian crap for instance. However - IF YOU PUSH IT, any law enforcement agency will eventually listen to you, it's just a question of if you have the patience for it. Most of them have better things to do than to go after situations with incredibly stupid peole who were taken advantage of by internet scammers ("here, I have money, please steal it from me!"). |

Ah, I see my mistake has been rectified. I was worried all day long. After all I was responsible for murdering a post in the most successfull topic in the history of LottaLottos (more than 6380 readings !!!).If I had done the same thing in one of the many topics about Reality Lotto, nobody would have missed that post . Cindy, sorry for the inconvenience. It won't happen again. I have forgiven you the 2 dollarcent mistake, now it is your turn to be merciful ErikAlbert

Hello everyone!I also received an E-Mail message stating verification of unclaimed parcel. It was a Paretti Diamond Jewellery set. I never sent the Release Fee charge and thanks for having this discussion. I was actually thinking about sending the money!!! Oh well looks like I won't be getting my Diamonds... Now THAT is the reason why this forum is still here. Now if only we could funnel all the $31.95's we've saved people into some kind of a prize pool for us somehow...

Who ever created this forum I thank you.I received an e-mail stating that if I send 31.95 I would receive some Paretti (almost sounds like "Pretty") Jewlery Collection. I did a search to find out more info before I start sending the cash and came upon this forum. I'm glad to say I will not be sending them my money...my girlfriend will have to settle for roses instead...lol. P.S. Where were you guys when I got suckered in a envelope stuffing scam?...lol.

I was wonderin if this was scam they said I was the winner of a check..The above facsimile check represents First Round Jackpot funds reserved and available to be claimed by the winner from Prize Claim Center. If you are the named and confirmed winner it is important that you claim your winnings before May 23, 2004. You will also be given six opportunities to win considerably larger amounts within 24 hours - without cost or obligation. No purchase necessary. ?? so is this scam it's hard to believe that i can win 4 687$ like that...
