The increase of traffic to this topic and a few others is due to the keyword content in the posts. This topic ranks in the top 3 spots on a lot of search engines for numerous keyword combinations.

All from people who were smart enough to search the internet for more information before sending $31.95 to anyone. They should all be applauded.

This is also the reason why the scamsandspams.com site will soon be available. There is a big demand for knowledge about internet scams and other bullkaka.

Lol

I received the same email today, on the 18th of march.

They are still spamming around.

And they still have not changed anything, even the static package number 552584 remained the same. Guess what I won:

Some Paretti Diamond Jewelry Collection

Yeah a Paretti Diamond Jewelry Collection

I think I will post it once more to make it rise up the ranking list of any search engine that will pick this up.

It is a Paretti Diamond Jewelry Collection

This scam is pretty lame....

I receive this free lotto **** too and have a domain registered at networksolutions.

Very suspicious!Go to Top of Page

See, all these people who come here BECAUSE of this thread getting it, Erik got it! I'm kinda sad, they won't ever bother sending me one!

And afterall, what better thing could I do with $31.95 than send for this "prize"!

Oh well, that's what scamsandspams.com will be/is for. I just checked that and got nothin, how far along are you with that great site, Spud?

init00,
Once you have registrated your postal address somewhere on the internet, you create the possibility that your address will be used for something else or by somebody else.
Some people get access to the contact files of other people by using dirty tricks.
Some people sell their contact files to other people for money.
Only God knows how many different ways they use to get your address.
The same thing happens with your credit card data.
You cann't trust anything on the internet and that's why internet is a good tool for criminal activities and that's why so many credulous people are cheated.

I would really like to know how they got my address. I've received at least 3 "Notification of Unclaimed Parcel" in the past month even though I clicked on the link to discontinue receiving such spam.

>even though I clicked on the link to discontinue receiving such spam

All that does is move you from the spammer "C" list to the "A" list:

C list: might be a valid email address, might not
B list: Valid email address
A list: Valid email address and the owner actually reads the crap he gets

Selling a million A list email addresses gets a lot more money than a million C list email addresses.Go to Top of Page

Another thing is :
Why does a Free Lotto really needs your complete postal address and/or PayPal account during the REGISTRATION ?
To pay you faster LOL ? Maybe some dishonest webmasters have already plans to sell your address to somebody else after the registration.

A Free Lotto only needs your complete postal address or PayPal account during the claiming process of a cash price.

I have just recieved the e-mail about the "unclaimed parcel". I then hit the reply button and had a friend of mine who is a lawyer reply to the message. He used a bunch of legal terms which I don't understand but it sounded really good. Now lets wait and see what happens with these scammers.

I think this scam must be very profitable and successfull, otherwise they wouldn't send it over and over again on the internet. I received these emails more than once.
$31.95 X 1,000 victims = $31,950. Not bad for sending emails for free.
